A Philly State of Mind: Reimaging the Philadelphia Brand Using Design Thinking is an interactive program that focused on the idea that with its renewed energy, Philly is beccoming more than ust a place on the map, it's becoming a state of mind that more people are embracing. Philadelphia is going through a renaissance that involves economic development, gentriciation, a booming arts, culture and foodie scene with an anchor in a diverse history. What are all the ways it could add value in the future to the United States and to the world? Join us for a few playful(and thoughtful) hours of sensemaking and placemaking to experiment with designing the brand story of Philadelphia from the perspective of "Philadelphia as a state of mind." Join Natalie Nixon, PhD of Figure 8 Thinking and Gary Kopervas, VP Brand Strategy and Story Development of 20nine, a Creative Brand Agency as they work with the group to bring this idea to life using design thinking principles and practices through a series of orchestrated "design sprints."
